There is so much to take in! From historical monuments, such as Little Ben which stands in the heart of Victoria - one of the landmarks since 1903, to the breathtaking sights that include the St Anne National Marine Park. At Mission Lodge, you will witness the ruins of a farm and boarding school for liberated slaves.
This memorable day will continue through the Tea Plantation, “Jardin du Roi” - an experience that cannot be missed. With rows of vanilla, cinnamon, citronella, nutmeg and pepper; the air is filled with a splendidly spicy aroma! After one last pit stop to refuel with a sumptuous Creole lunch, the journey back to the hotel will be filled with tales of pirates and ghosts…all true of course!
Dive into the magnificent world of the St Anne National Marine Park. Constituted in 1973, St Anne park holds a sequence of 5 reserved islands and protects over 150 species of fish. As the home to the first Seychelles’ settlement in 1770, St Anne was a whaling station during the Second World War and the base from where the Royal Marines defended Victoria Harbour.
It’s good to note that every island is unique, with each holding its own impressive history. .
A rich treasure is said to be buried on the neighbouring island of Moyenne. So, as you venture the Ocean on a glass-bottom boat, enjoy hand feeding the fish and snorkelling through the reef – but make sure you keep an eye out for the treasure!
